Why your help is needed
In Nepal there are many homeless, parentless, disabled and street children and whilst
there are orphanages and rehabilitation centres, they are few and far between and
in most cases they are under resourced.
Volunteers on this project can make a real difference to the lives of young children
who have had a difficult start to life. They will engage with the children through
play, help them with basic education, homework and offer a helping hand to get them
through the day.
There is also a need for experienced care workers and medical staff to assist those
children who are receiving medication and suffer mental or physical disabilities.
Responsibilities are varied, ranging from feeding and clothing children to playing
games and keeping the orphanage tidy, taking lessons and helping with basic education.
Volunteers should be willing to get involved wherever help is needed.
