provides you with all the information you need about the visa application process,
fees and government regulations for Canadian citizens.
Can-Camp explained
BUNAC’s Can-Camp program is designed to help your staff
from Canada obtain their J-1 status for camp counseling or support work only.
Canadian citizens may apply through CAN-CAMP for their Form DS-2019 Certificate
of Eligibility, and present it at the US border to receive the J-1 status.
Non-Canadian applicants (this includes permanent residents of Canada) will present
their DS-2019 in person at a US consulate in Canada by appointment.
If any of your staff are not Canadian citizens, please ask them to call BUNAC immediately
for advice BEFORE applying. All applicants MUST be 18 years old before a DS-2019
form can be issued.
