Police Background Check
All participants must provide a police background check as part of their
KAMP application. Residents of the UK are required to obtain a background
check through ACRO. The application form is available at here.
We will ask you to apply for a check once your KAMP
application has been accepted following your interview.
Residents of Ireland must apply for a Police Certificate instead and send a copy
of the certificate to BUNAC.
IIf you have lived outside the UK for an extended period we may ask you to additionally
provide a police check from the country/ies you have lived in previously.
You must speak to BUNAC before applying if you have ever been arrested or ever received
a criminal caution or conviction as this could have implications for your US visa
application as well as affect your placement chances.
