Guarantors
If you are accepted by BUNAC, you will need to provide a guarantor, normally a parent
or guardian. Your guarantor should be a permanent resident in the UK or Ireland
and is required to protect the costs which BUNAC has incurred on your behalf before
you arrive at camp.
If you don’t complete your contract and leave camp early for whatever reason, your
guarantor is liable to pay BUNAC the costs which BUNAC has incurred on your behalf.
You would only be paid for the days you have worked at camp. The costs include your
airfare and any other costs which BUNAC would no longer be able to collect from
camp. You or your guarantor would be liable for the pro-rated portion of this amount.
If you are unable to provide a suitable guarantor or would prefer not to, you also
have the option to “guarantee yourself” by paying the loan amount to BUNAC up front.
You would receive this payment back in full upon successful completion of your contract.
Further information is provided in the programme Terms and Conditions and Loan and
Guarantee Agreement form, available once you have registered or on request.
