What is BUNAC?

Work and volunteer overseas

A UK market leader in work abroad programmes, BUNAC (British Universities North America Club) offers eligible applicants aged 18 and over, a unique opportunity to spend extended time living, working and travelling overseas.

Opportunities range from the popular camp counselling programme, Summer Camp USA, and flexible work and travel programmes in Canada, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand to volunteering/teaching placements in Africa, South and Central America, South East Asia and, new for this year, China. Programmes last from as little as five weeks to as long as two whole years. Participants can take part in a BUNAC programme as part of their summer vacation, during a gap year, after graduation or as a career break.

The work and travel experts

Over its 46 year history, BUNAC has enabled hundreds of thousands of travellers to explore the world through work and travel. Established in 1962 as a non-profit, student members Club, BUNAC is today recognised as a specialist in the field of overseas work and travel programmes. The organisation has grown significantly from its original North America exchange programme roots and now offers a work or volunteer opportunity in every continent.
